Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the 3rd largest employer on the island providing year-round employment opportunities. Project Manager Faclair na Gàidhlig

£32,548-£38,833.
 

Faclair na Gàidhlig is an inter-university initiative by the universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig UHI to produce an historical dictionary of Scottish Gaelic.  Applications are invited for the post of Project Manager to develop, implement and manage all non-academic work related to Faclair na Gàidhlig.  This post presents an opportunity to facilitate the success of the project in its academic aims.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have proven ability in management and administration with excellent communication and presentation skills.  You will be a team player with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks.

Faclair na Gàidhlig is committed to securing and enhancing the status of Gaelic.  Opportunities to learn, or improve competence in, the language will be made available.

Base:  Flexible.  Occasional visits to the project’s management base at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Isle of Skye will be necessary.

Sleat’s Gaelic childcare facility for children aged 0-12, Fàs Mòr, is currently hiring! With a team of kind, creative and hardworking staff,  Fàs Mòr is based on Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s campus with a community of students learning Gaelic.  We will be running the new part-time HNC (Gaelic) Childcare from September which you could do at the same time. Full-time and part-time job opportunities available.
